Sunnyside Acupuncture LLC  —

Our Philosophy

gemini-2.5-flash-image_Can_you_fix_the_lettering_on_this_to_say_Sunnyside_Acupuncture._Spe

At Sunnyside Acupuncture, we believe the body has an inherent capacity to heal when given the right support. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), our approach weaves together careful observation, individualized treatment, and ongoing assessment to support health as a dynamic balance within the body and between the body and its environment.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we look for underlying patterns that contribute to imbalance. Each treatment is individualized and informed by attentive listening and clinical observation. Care plans evolve as your body responds, honoring the fact that healing is not linear and no two people are the same.

Our goal is to support the body’s natural regulatory processes, reduce barriers to healing, and help patients feel more connected to their health over time.

"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
 you touch everything."

- Lao Tzu

What is Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a holistic therapy and a core part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that supports the body’s natural ability to heal, recover, and maintain balance. In TCM, the body is viewed as an interconnected system reflecting the rhythms and balance found in nature. When this flow of energy, blood, and fluids is disrupted by stress, injury, lifestyle factors, or illness, symptoms can appear. Acupuncture works to restore harmony, ease tension, and support the body’s natural regulatory processes.

Treatments involve the gentle placement of fine, single-use sterile needles at points selected through careful observation and assessment. Each session is individualized, addressing both symptoms and underlying patterns to promote long-term wellness. Optional TCM therapies, such as gua sha, tui na, fire cupping, or dietary guidance, may be incorporated when appropriate.

Research shows that acupuncture can reduce pain and inflammation, regulate the nervous system, modulate hormones, support immune function, and more. Today, acupuncture is used in hospitals, integrative clinics, and wellness centers worldwide. It offers a safe, evidence-informed approach to addressing both immediate symptoms and the deeper patterns that contribute to them. By integrating ancient TCM wisdom with modern evidence, acupuncture supports whole-body healing-helping you feel grounded, resilient, and more at ease in daily life.
